Engagement photoshoot in Rome, Italy

In September 2023, I had the pleasure of meeting Gabrielle and Stephen, a couple from New York during their trip to Rome, Italy. They had chosen to have their wedding in Tuscany the following year and wanted a dolce vita themed engagement photoshoot to use for their invitations.

We decided to start the photoshoot early in the morning at the Trevi fountain. Although there were a few people around, it was much less crowded compared to the daytime. Gabrielle looked absolutely stunning in a midi dress with puff sleeves that perfectly matched the dolce vita theme.

From there, we moved on to the Pantheon and began strolling around small alleyways and streets, in search of a scooter rental. By chance, we stumbled upon a workshop that had a vintage Vespa parked out front. The owner kindly allowed us to use it for our photos, and it turned out to be the perfect prop. It felt like we were in the right place at the right time.

As we wrapped up the shoot, we decided to end it with a traditional Italian touch. We enjoyed espresso at a bar in Piazza Navona, soaking in the charming atmosphere of Rome. It was a wonderful way to conclude the session.

I was fortunate to have my dear friend Alexandra, a talented photographer, join me for this shoot. She captured some amazing photos with her film camera, adding a nostalgic touch to the collection. Have a look at her amazing photos here.

As a modern Rome wedding and wedding photographer, my goal is to capture the essence of each couple's love story. I aim to blend a documentary style with editorial flair, creating images that tell a story and evoke emotions.
