Intimate wedding in Istria, Croatia

The first time wedding planner Marrytime - Maritime Weddings contacted me on Instagram at the beginning of February, I had no idea of the great collaboration I would have with her. As a native Croatian, she specializes in weddings in Croatia and helps couples realize their weddings abroad. As inspiration for future bridal couples, she planned a modern inspiration shoot in Istria in the spring of 2023. As a Vienna-based wedding photographer, I mainly photograph weddings in Austria, but I love shooting weddings abroad. So we headed off to Croatia together at the end of March. After a four-hour journey, we arrived at Villa Panoramica, a vacation home near Labin with a fantastic view of the sea.

The day of the photo shoot we started early. The model had her hair and make-up done by Sfumato Make-up, the florist Floraanita Wedding Design started setting up the wedding ceremony location and we, the photo and video team, photographed the details. The Bride Angelina wore two different dresses that day. Combined with shoes from Loeffler Randall and jewelry from Schullin and Noni Mode. The first look from Sarah Seven via feinstens was used for a shoot inside the villa. She then changed into a wedding dress from Made With Love Bridal via feinstens, which was styled with a pearl veil. The groom, on the other hand, wore a fine tuxedo from Jeremy’s Graz with shoes which were also from Jeremy's Graz.

The table had been set up next to the infinity pool and couldn't have been more dreamy! The mix of white flowers, gorgeous chandeliers from Dekofundus and classy wedding stationery from Bloom Wedding made the table absolutely beautiful. The bride and groom took their seats at the wedding table and enjoyed the beautiful view of Istria with a glass of champagne.

After a lunch break with pizza and cake, it was time for the wedding ceremony. Floranita Wedding Design had once again outdone herself and created a beautiful wedding arch made of flowers and branches. The model couple also happen to get married next year, so it was particularly sweet when the groom had to wipe a few tears from his cheeks as the bride walked down the aisle. The two then read their vows to each other and exchanged their rings. After a festive exit, the wedding cake by Isidora Patisserie was cut. To finish the shoot, a champagne tower was poured and a toast was made.

Many thanks to Marrytime Weddings for offering me the opportunity to take part as wedding photographer in this styled shoot!
